Work could begin this Summer on dredging county Kilkenny river

Work on the King’s River dredging project in Callan could begin this summer, following delays last year.

Inland Fisheries Ireland is understood to be finalising a revised design, with further consultation to follow with the National Parks and Wildlife Service.

The plan includes dredging sections of the river, narrowing the channel and adding stone walls to reduce flooding risk.
