Work to finally start on realigning ‘worst stretch of road’ in Kilkenny

A stretch of road in North Kilkenny which has been branded the worst and most dangerous in the county is finally to be re-aligned.

The green light has been given for work to start immediately on the N77 at Ballynaslee in Ballyragget which will be re routed and it’s due to be completed by the autumn of next year.

Local councillor Maurice Shorthall says this has been on the cards for around 40 years but is happy it’s being done as its quite dangerous
