KCLR news understands that work on the new bridge in Kilkenny will now not go ahead before tomorrow mornings meeting of the county council.
Work was stopped yesterday when protestors took to the River Nore to stop a piledriver working there.
For health and safety reasons the work is not expected to go ahead today – though protesters have told KCLR they will do the same again today if necessary.
It’s believed more than 100 thousand euro has been lost to the council already due to the delays.
The county council are set to meet tomorrow morning where its fully expected they will approve a motion calling for the Central access Scheme to be reviewed.
