Poor communications is to blame for the delay in building the Barrack Street Housing development in Carlow according to a local councillor.
Fergal Browne says it’s a key factor in pushing out the space between the first two phases of the project which sees the facade of a row of derelict houses kept to front new homes.
It has since gone to tender however – works are set to start on the 7th of August, with an aim to be fully completed by October 2025.
Speaking to KCLR News at last evening’s monthly meeting of the Carlow town municipal district, Cllr Browne said not knowing what was happening allowed for disinformation to spread.
