A low temperature warning remains in place for Kilkenny and 18 other counties this morning.
Met Eireann issued the yellow warning as temperatures dipped to as low as minus 3 in some parts overnight. Temperatures didn’t fall as low in Kilkenny with parts of Carlow dipping to minus 1 overnight.
The alert remains in place until 11am this morning.
Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather has this advice for those on the roads this morning…
“A frosty start for some parts of Carlow and Kilkenny with some icy patches, also a risk of some fog and freezing fog if you’re traveling this morning, so allow some extra time and take it easy.”
