Yellow weather warning for Carlow and Kilkenny as heavy rain falls

The record dry spell of September has ended and Autumn has officially begun.

Met Eireann has issued a yellow weather warning today with up to 40 millimetres of rain set to fall in Carlow, Kilkenny and surrounding counties.

Alan O Reilly of Carlow weather dot com says the heavy rain will lead to flash flooding.
