The six-year-old boy who died tragically in County Waterford yesterday has been named locally as Matthew Healy.
Emergency teams found his body in the back seat of a car in the early hours of yesterday morning, at a beach near Dunmore East.
He was a pupil at Faithlegg National School and his classmates are being offered counselling in the wake of the tragedy.
A woman in her 30s is still being questioned in connection with the death at a Garda Station in Waterford.
Gardai say the results of a post mortem will determine the course of the investigation.
A special vigil has been planned for this evening at 7pm at the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity in Waterford City.
