The Local Enterprise Office in Kilkenny have announced that young entrepreneurs from Coláiste Abhainn Rí and Presentation Secondary School will be representing the county at this year’s Student Enterprise Programme National Finals.
From the Junior category, Robbie Lyons from Coláiste Abhainn Rí will be representing Kilkenny with his delicious homemade jams that come in five flavours.
Also from Coláiste Abhainn Rí, in the Intermediate category are Muireann Bibby and Tom Carey. Their company creates handcrafted canvas art gifts that come from the sea.
The candidates from the Senior category are Niamh Brett, Danica Tervit Kruger, and Hazel Maher from Presentation Secondary School. They’ve created The Little Lost Collection, which is a story book collection that aims to educate children about the condition of Ireland’s animal welfare. The book also outlines the importance of adopting pets.
The local students will be competing against hundreds of other students from all over Ireland.
Aileen McGrath, Head of Enterprise says, “…Our National Finalists are excellent ambassadors for the programme, and we wish them the very best of luck.”
The event will take place on the 9th of May at Mullingar Park Hotel.
