A young man has been killed in a crash between his motorcycle and a lorry on the main Kilkenny to Castlecomer road today.
It happened shortly before noon at Clashduff Lower on the N78 just outside Castlecomer – close to the Glanbia Country Life store.
The man – who’s understood to be 30 years old – was pronounced dead at the scene.
That stretch of road had been closed for a number of hours while a Technical Examination took place but reopened shortly after 5pm.
