A 5 year old has been airlifted to Temple St hospital (Monday) after a dog attack in Carlow.
KCLR news understands the child was attacked by a pitbull in the back garden of a family home in the town.
The youngster is thought to have suffered horrific injuries in the incident.
A neighbour is understood to have intervened to help save the child.
