A local school principal says this year’s Leaving Cert was not all plain sailing.
The State exams are winding down now, although there are some exams continuing to next Tuesday.
About 2,000 students across Carlow and Kilkenny had a choice to take accredited grades or to also sit the actual exam with most opting to do both so they get the better of the two grades.
Some local students have had to miss their scheduled exams however because they contracted Covid-19 or were close contacts of a confirmed case, but they will still get the accredited marks.
Tullow Community School Principal Paul Thornton has been telling our Sue Nunn on The Way It Is says this year’s exam has run well for the most part but was harder for some than others.
