Extending the playground, creating an Age Active Area and providing footpaths and walking tracks are just some of the planned works for the Fair Green in Callan.
The plans for the area are currently on display for locals in the council’s offices on John Street as well as the Callan Area Office between now and the 3rd of March.

Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny County Council, Matt Doran says it’ll be a phased development and a lot of money is going to be needed.
A second exit is also going to be made for the GAA grounds there which should resolve some of the traffic issues.
