A man being questioned in connection with the death of a woman in Kilkenny on Sunday has been released without charge.
Gardai say a file is being prepared for the Director of Public prosecutions.
The man was arrested following the death of Rita Apine who passed away in hospital after being found at the bottom of the stairs at her home in Bridge Street in Freshford on Sunday afternoon.
The 29 year old Latvian has being described as “a lovely person” and “a devoted mother”.
Kilkenny councillor Andrew McGuinness knew the mother-of-one as he had helped her when she’d been looking for accommodation.
He told KCLR’s The Way It Is he said he never saw her without her daughter.
