Kilkenny County Council issue statement regarding social media posts

Kilkenny County Council has published a statement expressing every confidence in its staff and elected members.

It condemns recent posts on social media, which the local authority says have no basis in fact.

The posts in question are understood to have referenced officials and elected members, and the council describes them as inaccurate and, in some cases, possibly defamatory.

The Council Chief executive has signed the press release as have all of the elected members.
