A search operation is set to resume in Kilkenny city this morning following reports that someone went into the River Nore yesterday.
The incident happened around lunchtime at John’s Bridge.

The Civil Defence,the Coastguard Rescue helicopter, the fire services and Gardai were all involved in the operation yesterday afternoon.
It was suspended yesterday evening but will resume at first light this morning.
