400,000 to get tax bills but 146,000 overpaid tax due to getting PUP

Nearly half of people who’ve been getting the PUP have overpaid tax.

Of the 146 thousand who overpaid, 500 are owed more than 5 thousand euro.

Revenue figures show over 400 thousand people underpaid and will be getting tax bills related to the government’s Covid-19 supports today but they won’t have to start paying it back until next year.
