“A huge loss”: Tributes paid to Kilkenny soccer hero Paul Smith who died over the weekend

The death of a Kilkenny based star of soccer has been deemed ‘A huge loss’ by those who knew him.

Paul Smith was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2021, something he spoke to KCLR about on a couple of occasions as part of his bid to raise awareness of the condition (hear him here and here).

He also spearheaded fundraising around that.
