A fire broke out yesterday at St. Columba’s Hospital in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, and all residents and staff were safely evacuated and accounted for.

The incident was swiftly and effectively managed, with HSE staff executing a phased evacuation of the facility.

Local fire services arrived promptly on the scene, and all fire safety systems within the building functioned as intended.
