Kilkenny County Council has announced the removal of the bottle bank located in Ferrybank, following ongoing issues with illegal dumping.

The removal will take place by Thursday this week, with the Council exploring alternative locations for a new bottle bank in the area. An update will be provided once the new location has been confirmed.

Residents are advised that, in the meantime, they can utilize the nearby Civic Amenity Site in Granagh for recycling purposes. Additionally, Bring Banks are available in the nearby areas of Kilmacow, Glenmore, and Slieverue.

The Council urges all residents to use these alternative recycling options and to report any instances of illegal dumping to local authorities.
