Kilkenny native Catriona Carey, a former Irish Hockey player, is set to appear in Dublin Circuit Criminal Court today as part of ongoing legal proceedings.
The 46-year-old, who resides in Graiguecullen, County Carlow, faces multiple charges in relation to financial fraud and money laundering.

The charges stem from an investigation carried out by the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau into alleged fraudulent activities that occurred between 2019 and 2021.
In February, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) directed that Ms. Carey be sent forward for trial, and she was served with a book of evidence. However, the case was adjourned, and today’s appearance will see the matter mentioned again in court.
