Major power outage across Carlow and Kilkenny today

159 local premises remain without power this evening after outages in both counties.

Close to 4,000 premises across Castlecomer, moneenroe and Skehana were without electricity for a time today – 39 still impacted are in the Cruttenclough area with no estimated restoration time as of yet.

While 129 properties in Ballon also have no electricity.
