Motorists are facing higher fuel bills this month, as petrol and diesel prices edge up again.

The latest AA Ireland survey shows petrol rising by two cent to 1.72 a litre, while diesel is up one cent to 1.68, following the Budgets carbon tax increase.

The AA says the bigger pressure will come from higher home energy and EV-charging costs, as electricity prices climb heading into winter.
