Woman dead following early morning crash in County Tipperary

A person has died following a crash in Tipperary in the early hours of this morning.

The single vehicle incident happened at Toomevara, Nenagh, between 12midnight and 2:20am with the car’s sole occupant pronounced dead at the scene.

The body of the woman in her eighties has been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem examination.

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators will carry out a technical examination of the scene where the road remains closed.
