A man’s been arrested following a public order incident at Kilkenny GAA’s county grounds.
There were concerning scenes at UPMC Nowlan Park yesterday following the Leinster club Senior Hurling Championship quarter-final clash of the ash between local side Ballyhale Shamrocks and visitors Kilcormac-Killoughey.
Gardaí confirmed to KCLR News that they arrested a man aged in his forties following a public order incident at a Kilkenny sports ground – he has has since been charged, and is scheduled to appear before the courts at a later date.
A spokesperson says “As this is now before the courts, there is no further information available at this time”.
Investigations are ongoing.
