Carlow councillors vote to reduce speed limit on N80 and N81

Carlow Councillors have voted to reduce the speed limit on the N80 and N81. 

It’ll fall from 100km per hour to 80.

This follows the conclusion of a process which began last February in the wake of several fatalities on the road.

Speaking to KCLR News, Fianna Fail Councillor John Pender welcomed the reduction which he feels will enhance safety for motorists but he also had a further plea as he outlined to our Dermot Keyes;
