The KCLR Christmas Toy Drive and Gift Giver is officially underway.
Collection dates & venues will be confirmed next week but the aim is to help Amber Women’s Refuge gather vouchers for supermarkets, toy shops and the like to enable the women they support to pick up items they need and want for themselves and their children. (Donate directly to Amber here).
While toys will be collected for those set to spend Christmas on the children’s ward at St Luke’s General Hospital for Carlow and Kilkenny.
Elaine Brennan’s the Clinical Nurse Manager One (CNM1) there and says donations of books to read or to colour, packets of crayons or pencils as well as teddys, boardgames, dolls and more are invaluable;
