Carlow and Kilkenny look set to be hit by Caredoc strike tomorrow

Strike action at GP out-of-hours provider Caredoc looks set to go ahead tomorrow after talks with the HSE failed to reach a resolution.

INMO and SIPTU members are in dispute over an unpaid eight per cent pay increase agreed in 2023.

Caredoc, warns the stoppage will severely impact services over the Christmas period, with up to ten thousand hours of care at risk.

The company has appealed for the strike to be called off on humanitarian grounds, while unions say they have no option but to proceed.
