Those driving through Carlow are reminded that some key routes now have a lower speed limit.
From today National Secondary Roads in the county, including the N80 and N81, drop to 80kk/h.
Supt Anthony Farrell outlines why;
It’s as a section of the N25 in south Kilkenny, from 40m north of Luffany Roundabout to 553m north of the junction of the N25 and the L7522, saw its limit reduced to 80km/h last month.
Meanwhile, we’ve been hearing calls for the speed limit to be dropped by 20km/h on the Kilkenny Ring Road too.
