Gardaí in Kilkenny warn they will be out in force clamping down on drink/drug driving

Local Gardai say they are worried after seven people were caught for drink and drug driving since the start of the month.

Two drivers tested positive for a banned substance between the 1st and 12th December.

Then last weekend five more were arrested after testing positive for alcohol and drug use while driving.

A spokesperson for Kilkenny Gardaí is warning they will be out in force over the next few weeks clamping down on those who still get behind the wheel of a vehicle while intoxicated.
