Carlow had the largest rise in passenger car sales last year with a 14% jump on 2024, while they fell in Kilkenny by 1.8%.
Overall across the country, petrol and diesel car sales slumped in 2025 by nearly 15 & 23% respectively, making electric and hybrid cars market leaders.
