Organisers of Kilkenny city teen event issue ‘thank you’ to parents and guardians of attendees

Organisers of a major teen event in Kilkenny city have issued a ‘thank you’ to parents and guardians of those who attended.

Those behind the Fusion Ball had appealed for their young patrons to be dropped off in the Pegasus Nightclub carpark only for the festivities to mark the New Year.

The measure was implemented following concerns raised that some at previous offerings had earlier drop-off times into the city centre leading to large groupings of young people gathering elsewhere.

Those behind the regular offerings teamed up with Gardaí and say they plan to carry forward this new system for all future nights out.
