As Christmas trees come down you’re encouraged to recycle them

Christmas trees have been coming down in recent days and the call is out to recycle them.

While some put away their festive decorations as soon as the big day was over, others waited to the New Year with the last of the baubles out over the weekend.

Now, as we all settle back into our usual routines, Kilkenny County Council opens its gates at a number of points today (Monday, 5th January).

In Carlow the Powerstown Civic Amenity Centre is the main drop-off point.
