UPDATE (8am, Monday, 5th Jan): Gardaí have confirmed they assisted Fire Services at a the scene of a fire at a residential property Dolmen Hall, Carlow shortly after 9pm last night. KCLR News understands however that no offences have been disclosed.

Emergency services tackled a fire on the outskirts of Carlow town last night.
The blaze broke out at a premises in the Pollerton Big/Hacketstown Road area before midnight.

Eyewitnesses say it appeared to be ‘serious’ – see the photos attached from All About Carlow.
KCLR News understands there were no major injuries sustained in the incident.
