Over 1,000 students are gearing up to try and win this year’s Stripe Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition.
It opens today with President Catherine Connolly set to officially kick off proceedings later.

More than 200 prizes will be up for grabs, including a place in the EU Contest for Young Scientists for the overall winner.
A host of locals are involved between them representing Castlecomer Community School, Kilkenny College, Colaiste Pobal Osrai, CBS Kilkenny, St Mary’s Academy CBS as well as St Leo’s College Carlow.
