Public information event today will look at proposed revamp of key Kilkenny city walk-through

A key Kilkenny city walkthrough is set for a major revamp.

An overhaul planned for St Mary’s Laneway and Outdoor Amenity Space involves the renewal of pavements, drainage systems, boundary treatment, street furniture, public lighting and landscaping.

The aim of the works is to tie the historic buildings of the Tholsel and the former St Mary’s Church of Ireland together with the intention that visitors would come to the city and go and do the Museum of Medieval Kilkenny experience.
