Gardaí in Carlow and Kilkenny warn if your dog’s involved in attacking other animals, it could cost not just their life but cash too

If your dog is involved in attacking other animals it could cost you not just their life but a considerable amount of cash too.

That’s the warning from Gardaí who are asking pet owners locally to ensure they’ve control of them at all times.

Concerns are being raised of the often devastating impact of worrying sheep and cattle, many of which are heavily pregnant.

Sgt Eddie Brennan has this reminder; “Always control your dogs, particularly near livestock you should have control of your dog at all times but also for other people if you’re seeing dogs marauding around loose we need to hear that, we need to get that matter reported to garda station so that we can react to that, respond to that”.
