An Event Management Guidance document has been developed by a local authority to assist local groups and organisations to safely and securely hold public events.
It was brought before Carlow councillors at their monthly meeting last evening and will be advertised publicly in due course.

Carlow County Council’s Julie Brophy told KCLR News why developing this was required; “It’s in a lot of local authorities already, some of the larger ones, and we felt the need to bring it into Carlow County Council and basically it is to assist people who are running events to carry out a safe event and to read the guidelines in relation to what their particular event involves”.
