A local councillor is calling for more to be done to make a Kilkenny road safer.
Green Councillor Maria Dollard raised the issue of the speed on the route between the city and Tullaroan and has called for a reduction to the limit.
Cllr Dollard told KCLR News there are other measures that could be taken, noting; “Looking at, we’ll say, the works that they have done on the Dublin Road and on the ‘Comer Road where they have put in raised pedestrian crossings it is definitely slowing traffic down and I’ve seen it myself and people have reported it to me so whatever measures can be put in place to slow the traffic down there so that they’re not hitting that stretch of road as fast as they are at the moment”.
