More than a third of the Cabinet will travel to the United States for St Patrick’s Day.
While both Carlow and Kilkenny will be represented in New York, forty representatives of the Government will visit 50 cities worldwide as part of the festivities.
Minister of State at the Department of Health Jennifer Murnane O’Connor is heading to The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg while our other TDs are remaining closer to home.
Minister Murnane O’Connor told KCLR News; “Under my remit as Ministe rof State I will be visiting various projects that link with my work in health and wellbeing and the drugs strategy, I particularly look forward to visiting Luxembourg, there are strong links between Carlow and Luxembourg through St Willibord and I look forward to representing the county of Carlow on my visit, now more than ever it is an important time for the EU to stand united, it is a great privilege for Ireland to have the opportunity to bring Europe together on St Patrick’s Day”.
