It’s a big weekend for many local athletes.
A host of individuals from both Carlow and Kilkenny are competing at the Special Olympics Summer Games.
Groups from both counties were waved off on Thursday and it seems since then a lot of fun’s been had amid the competitions;
Added to that, three local men are in the Netherlands for the European Transplant Games which get underway tomorrow.
Among the twenty-five strong national squad is Tomás Ó hAileagáin from Carlow and Kilkenny men JP O’Neill, who is currently living in Kildare, and Pat Savage, who resides in Carlow.
