Funeral takes place today of teenager who died in Carlow e-scooter crash

The funeral will take place this morning of the teenager who died in an e-scooter crash in Carlow last week.

Janis Ghirghircic Ozols of Willow Park in Carlow town was one of two young people involved in the incident at Carpenter’s Way last Monday evening.

Initially taken to St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny, he was transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin where he later died.

Janis has been reposing at his home and will be taken from there to his Funeral Mass which takes place from 11am at The Holy Family Church in Askea before he’s laid to rest in St Mary’s Cemetery. (More here).
