Funeral details have been announced for the two local teenagers who died in Sunday’s crash on the M9.
They were travelling against traffic flow on the motorway in the early hours of the morning with three others when their vehicle struck another carrying four members of a Carlow family. (Hear the letter from a friend which was read on The KCLR Daily this morning here).
KCLR News has been hearing from Bishop Denis Nulty of how a number of people in our locality have been impacted by the incident.
16-year-old Alex McCarthy from Carlow and Jeremy “Bobbles” O’Brien, who was a little older, from the Tullow Road in Carlow town were among those to die.
RIP.ie has outlined how Alex will be reposing at his home today from 3 to 7pm before being removed to The Holy Family Church in Askea tomorrow for Requiem Mass at 3pm, with burial immediately afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery.
Jeremy will repose at his home on Saturday from 4pm until 9pm with the house private on Sunday before he’s removed to the church in Askea.
He too will be laid to rest at St Mary’s after Funeral Mass at 11am on Monday.
