Kilkenny city businessman signals ‘retirement beckons’

Many in Kilkenny city will be sad to hear the news that a key local business is to shut its doors.

John Joe Cullen issued the following last night:

His is a well-known and friendly face having served behind the John Street counter, initially working alongside the outlet’s original owner Billy ‘Busty’ Sullivan before taking it on for himself.

As well as serving generations of locals, John Joe’s also been hugely supportive of a number of community activities and his departure is due to be felt by many.
