The water conservation order for 13 remaining counties is being lifted immediately.
Uisce Éireann is dropping the measure two weeks early.
The utility operator has thanked the public for “extraordinary efforts” to conserve water during an extremely hot and dry summer.
Its lifting the order with immediate effect from countiesCarlow, Cork, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Limerick, Meath, Offaly, Tipperary, Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow.
