A local Irish language activist has been honoured with Gradam an Phiarsaigh 2015.
Carlow’s Bride de Roiste received the prestigious award from Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh in Culturlann na hEireann in Dublin last night.

The retired founding principal of Gaelscoil Eoghain Ui Thuairisc is known throughout the country and internationally for her work in promoting the Irish language with all age groups.
