Kilkennys dominance of hurling continued yesterday
The cats claimed a 36th All Ireland title beating Galway in a high octane, pulsating affair at GAA HQ yesterday afternoon
Galway led by 14 points to 1-8 at half time and looked to be on course for their first title in 27 years.
It all changed in the second half however as Kilkenny dominated from the first whistle on.
After the game manager Brian Cody revealed that Kilkenny forward Richie Hogan was a serious doubt going into the game with a quad tear, following on from a back injury before that.
Richie Power made a return to the field yesterday coming on in the second half.
