Local bin collectors warned there will be penalties if weighing mechanisms aren’t accurate

The NSAI says there will be penalties for any local bin collectors whose weighing mechanisms aren’t 100% accurate.

The body in charge of standards says they will be regulating them as the pay-by-weight charges are due to come into effect from the 1st of July.

Speaking to KCLR Live this morning, Paul Turner of the National Standards Authority says action will be taken on bin collection companies who aren’t compliant.
