Multi Million Euro Whiskey Distillery Opens In Carlow

Carlows newest multi-million euro distillery was officially opened this afternoon.

Crowds of invited guests gathered for the opening of Walsh Whiskey at Royal Oak.

It’s expected the new facility, and visitor centre will bring close to 70 thousand people to the area each year.

They’ve been distilling at Royal Oak since earlier this year, and now they’re officially open.

Speaking at the opening, CEO Bernard Walsh told KCLR they’ll be open to the public very soon.
