Locals from Carlow and Kilkenny head to Dublin for Pride Parade

Crowds of people from Carlow and Kilkenny are expected to travel to this year’s Pride Parade in Dublin.

A year on from Ireland’s historic marriage referendum, up to 70 thousand people are expected to take part.

Davin Roche from the Gay and Lesbian Equality Network says the LGBT community in Ireland has come a long way since the 1980s.
