All eyes will be on Prague tonight as the Republic of Ireland national football team take on Czechia in a World Cup play-off semi-final.
The game takes place at the Fortuna Arena, with Ireland heading into the clash with a fully fit squad. However, some players have had limited game time at club level in recent weeks.
Head coach Heimir Hallgrímsson says that has already been factored into his planning, particularly with the possibility of extra time.
“You have that in your mind when you have a game plan. If someone has not played a lot of games and this game could possibly go to 120 minutes, you need to have a plan B and plan C. I have no problem with the players we have, playing and starting them.”
The stakes are high, with the winner of tonight’s tie set to host either Denmark or North Macedonia in next Tuesday’s play-off final.
With a place one step closer to World Cup qualification on the line, Ireland will be aiming to deliver a big performance on the road.
